Habitat for Humanity Homeowner Informational Meeting

Do you or someone you know need an affordable home?  Macomb County Habitat for Humanity may be able to help.  There are two ways to obtain a house. First go out and get a mortgage from a traditional lender and purchase a home directly from us. (Certain income limits apply.) Or if you can’t go the traditional mortgage route, contact Habitat directly. As a partner family you may qualify for a zero percent mortgage and down payment assistance.

Through the Habitat program, we partner with area families and provide them the opportunity to work towards home ownership. The following criteria apply: must make a minimum of $18,000 per year, have connections to Macomb County, participate in financial classes and work 250 hours per adult on Habitat projects. Macomb County Habitat for Humanity has new and remodeled homes for sale in a variety of areas and price ranges.

To find out more information about either option please join us at our Homeowner Informational Meeting on Saturday, March 10, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Woodside Bible Church. The church is located at 27300 Hoover (south of Martin). If interested in the Habitat program, visit the Habitat website at www.macombhabitat.org or call 586-263-1540. Habitat will provide you with what items are needed to get you started on the road to owning your own home. There is a $25 processing fee required for each application and a $3 coupon available on the website.
