Forgotten Harvest founder Nancy Fishman, Ph.D. will be at the Lorenzo Cultural Center to discuss the organization's history and inner workings. Forgotten Harvest covers 2,000 square miles each day, rescuing surplus foods in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties, and then donating it to area emergency food providers.
This presentation is part of a series of programs, Michigan’s Harvest: Food, Farming and Community, now going on through Nov. 20.
There is no cost to attend, although pre-registration is required. Call 586-445-7348 or go online at www.LorenzoCulturalCenter.com to sign up or to get more information.
