In Brief: CV Board of Education Seeks Applicants for Presidency

The board has until April 28 to fill the position vacated by the death of former President Henry Chiodini.

With the recent passing of , the Chippewa Valley Board of Education is without a president.

Vice President George Sobah will assume Chiodini's duties as president in the interim as the board develops a time line to fill the vacancy.

The board will post a legal advertisement in The Macomb Daily next week to inform interested applicants living within the Chippewa Valley School District of the process they must follow to apply for the position.

Interested applicants should send a letter of interest and a resume to Chippewa Valley Schools, attention: Frank Bednard, Board of Education Secretary, 19120 Cass Ave., Clinton Township, MI 48038. The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. April 13.

The board will set up interview sessions and a special meeting to consider the applicants. The body has a period of 30 days to name a replacement to the post.
