In Brief: Foundation Reveals Auction Items for Chippewa Valley Taste Fest

The Chippewa Valley Education Foundation will host its first taste fest and auction on March 24.

With less than a month to the date of its first taste fest and auction, the Chippewa Valley Educational Foundation is continuing its efforts to ensure the success of the event.

The event is scheduled for March 24 at Zuccaro’s Banquets and Catering in Chesterfield Township.

"With the threats to cut school funding at the state level, it is more important than ever that we as a community stand behind our district," said Rene Ruhlman, CVEF president. "Whether or not they have children currently enrolled in the district, community members can make a big impact by attending this event."

Tickets are $40 and can be purchased in advance by calling 586-723-2240.

"With the caliber of restaurants we have participating, the $40 ticket price really is a bargain," Ruhlman said. "Especially considering that you are also supporting the foundation's mission of providing extraordinary educational opportunities for the students of Chippewa Valley Schools."

  • American Girl Doll
  • Autographed photos of Eminem (2)
  • Party catered at your home for up to 18 guests by Zuccaro's Banquets and Catering

"It's a wonderful opportunity to spend an enjoyable evening interacting with district employees, parents and other community members that share a desire to support the children in our district," Ruhlman said of the event.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at Zuccaro's, which is located at 46601 Gratiot Ave. in Chesterfield.
