Last Chance: Dispose of Prescription Drugs, Visit 75 Colleges at CV Fair

Safely dispose of your unused or expired prescription drugs this week or take your teen to college fair featuring more than 75 U.S. universities and trade schools.

Chippewa Valley Schools College Fair

will play host more than 75 college and trade schools on Wednesday, April 25, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Students and parents are invited to meet with admission representatives, pick up information on financial aid and learn about electronic transcripts.

The fair will be held in the CVHS gym.

Some of the schools scheduled to attend include: Albion College, Central Michigan, the College for Creative Studies, Eastern Michigan, Grand Valley, Hillsdale College, the International Academy of Design & Technology, Iowa State, Kettering University, Madonna University, Michigan State, Michigan Tech, Ohio State, Purdue, the University of Alabama, U of M, the U.S. Naval Academy and West Point Academy, among dozens of others.

Dispose of Expired or Unused Medication

The Chippewa Valley Coalition for Youth and Families and L'Anse Creuse Community Action Coalition are hosting two prescription drug drop-off events Friday, April 27, and Saturday, April 28.

  • at the Senior Expo at the Macomb Intermediate School District, 44001 Garfield Road in Clinton Township
  • at the Clinton Township Police Department, 37985 Groesbeck Highway, and Macomb County Sheriff's Office, 43564 Elizabeth Road, Mount Clemens.

This "take back" is in partnership with the MISD, Clinton Township Police Department and Macomb County Sheriff's Office.

Area residents are encouraged to bring their expired or unused medicine. Liquid medications and needles will not be accepted at these events.
