LCN Art Students Receive Committee Choice Awards from Festival of the Senses

The Clinton Township Festival of the Senses committee recently recognized four L'Anse Creuse North students for the art panels they created using the 2012 festival theme, "Listen to your heart."

Winning the recognition of community members and festival organizers, four L’Anse Creuse North, art students have been awarded "Committee Choice Awards" for their contributions to the Clinton Township Festival of the Senses.

Sophomores Jada Merrell and Breanna Arnold, senior Rachel Werthmann and 2012 graduate Amanda Arsenault received certificates from Mary Ann Hosey and Joe Peruzzi of Clinton Township Nov. 1.

The certificates were in recognition of the art panels each student created for display at the festival, held Sept. 22-23 in Clinton Township.

Drawing inspiration from the theme, “Listen to Your Heart,” dozens of student artists from the L'Anse Creuse North, the Boys & Girls Club of South East Michigan, Fraser High School and Mount Clemens High School painted a series of brightly-colored panels to be displayed along the fence opposite the Civic Center on Romeo Plank Road during the festival.
