LCN Homecoming Highlights: Floats, Courts and Football

L'Anse Creuse North kicked off its weekend homecoming activities Friday with a parade of floats, court reception and football game.

Despite frigid temperatures and nonstop rain, hundreds of current and former Crusaders filled the stadium Friday to kick off the weekend's homecoming festivities.

Floats that fit this year's "To Be a Kid Again" theme paraded around the stadium and the Crusader Marching Band performed a special show featuring "kid music" during halftime.

The homecoming court celebrated the crowning of its king and queen (Erik Jackson and Jordan Peltier) and the final tallies from Spirit Week declared the junior class the victors. Incidentally, the junior girls won Powder Puff football as well, 18-8 against the seniors.

Unfortunately, the jubilant spirit that filled the stadium at the start of Friday's festivities was subdued by the Crusaders sixth consecutive loss of the season.

Despite taking an early lead against Eisenhower, the team was unable to break its five-week losing streak, falling to the Eagles 25-6, and taking the Crusader .
