Mohawk Green Team to Host Free Computer and Electronics Recycling Event

Participants in the Jan. 18 collection event are asked to donate $5 per family to support Mohawk Elementary School's "green" efforts.

Get a new cell phone or camera in your stocking this Christmas? Need to get rid of the older model? Let Mohawk Elementary School's Green Team recycle it.

The Green Team will host a computer and small electronic recycling event Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 48101 Romeo Plank Rd. in Macomb Township.

Working with Computer Recyclers, a Michigan firm that is offering its recycling services at no charge for the event, the Green Team assures would-be donors that all electronics will be safely and properly disposed of and no component will end up in a landfill.
