On the Agenda: What CV School Board Will Consider at Tonight's Meeting

Chippewa Valley is looking to add 23 buses to its fleet, a purchase totaling $2 million.

The most costly item on the Chippewa Valley School Board’s agenda tonight is the purchase of 23 school buses. This purchase will cost the district a little more than $2 million.

The board will also consider the Macomb Intermediate School District’s proposed budget and a $732,752 bid for management servers and application packaging servers at its 6:30 p.m. Monday meeting.

  • Bid Award - School Bus Purchase (Approved)

The district will purchase a total of 23 buses for $2,031,926. These buses will be added to the district’s current fleet and purchased from the MSBO/MAPT Bus Purchase Program using the 2010 Building and Site Fund.

The district plans to purchase: five Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2 53-passenger special-needs buses with rear wheelchair lifts ($91,164 per bus), two Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2 53-passenger special-needs buses with front wheelchair lifts ($92,221 per bus), 12 Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2 77-passenger school buses ($86,649), and four Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2 77-passenger school buses with luggage compartments ($87,969).

  •  Approve Bid Award for Management Servers and Application Packaging Servers (Approved)

The board will award a $732,752 contract for Altiris Management and Application Streaming Servers to Netech, Incorporated. Several programs, including desktop remote management, will be added to 8,500 devices across the district. These additions will support the district’s search for a as well as the current desktops available. Funding is available within the 2010 Building and Site Fund.

  • Resolution to Support MISD 2011/2011 Proposed Budget (Approved)

According to Section 624 of the Revised School Code, Chippewa Valley must indicate support or disapproval of the Macomb Intermediate School District's proposed budget by June 1.
