Stuff a Bus (or Two) with L'Anse Creuse Public Schools This December

The school district will hold the event at two convenient locations Dec. 15.

Help the students and families of L'Anse Creuse Public Schools this holiday season by dropping off unused goods to stuff two buses Dec. 15.

The all-day event will be held at two convenient parking lot locations within the school district - the southern Value Center Marketplace in Clinton Township and the northern Walmart off I-94 in Chesterfield Township.

The public is invited to drop off unused clothing, unused toys and shelf-stable food items which will then be distributed to families in the L'Anse Creuse community at a later date.

"Customers can go into the stores, and help the stores by purchasing items and then help the families by donating them to the bus," said Tanya Nofs, assistant general manager for food and nutrition services.

But that's not all, there will be entertainment and hot chocolate so shoppers can have a little fun at the same time.

According to Nofs, those who wish to donate cash or gift cards instead of goods are welcome to do so.

"I know how hard the economy has hit many people," said Nofs. "My goal is just to help as many people as possible and possibly make one, two or three kids' Christmas a little brighter this year."
