The Chippewa Valley school board awarded five textbook contracts totaling $127,985 at its Aug. 13 meeting.
Knowledge comes with a price, or so the saying goes, and in Chippewa Valley Schools that price was six figures Monday night.
Awarding five contracts at its Aug. 13 meeting, the Chippewa Valley school board approved the purchase of $127,985 in textbooks and associated materials for the 2012-13 school year.
The board awarded contracts to the following vendors:

- Complete Book – $11,178
- Follett – $33,053
- McGraw Hill – $59,753
- Superior Text – $14,430
- Vintage Books – $9,568
This cost will be covered by funding available in the district's General Fund.
