You Can Help Utica Students Win a $25,000 Pepsi Refresh Grant

The Utica Academy for International Studies is in the running for a grant from the Pepsi Refresh Project, but needs community votes to become a finalist.

Community support has put the Utica Academy for International Studies in sight of a $25,000 grant from the Pepsi Refresh Project, but a last-minute voting landslide is needed to take UAIS into the final round.

As of 3 p.m. Dec. 28, the proposal submitted by UAIS was ranked 22nd in the $25,000 grant category. Only the top 15 proposals in the $25,000 category receive funding, so UAIS needs to climb seven spots in two days.

Voting can be done in two ways, and an individual can vote on five proposals a day until the Dec. 30 deadline.
