It was a good night for football in Macomb Township, with both Dakota and L'Anse Creuse North's varsity teams bringing home victories.
Dakota edged rival Chippewa Valley High School for the eighth-straight year, finishing the game 17-13 in Big Red territory and once again taking home the Superintendent’s Helmet Trophy. This win takes the team's season record to 7-1.
The Crusaders also saw victory, defeating Fraser 18-17 and bumping their season record to 6-2.
Oct. 19 is the last game of the regular season for both teams.
