Dakota's girls basketball team earned Macomb County team of the year honors at the newspaper's annual basketball awards dinner.
Team comes first at Dakota, and this year the Cougars were Macomb County’ top team.
The Dakota girls basketball team earned team of the year honors at The Macomb Daily’s annual basketball awards dinner.
“We always preached to our players how important it is to be a "team" throughout their time in our program,” Dakota coach Phil McCune said in an email. “This is a great reward!”

Dakota won 20 games this season and claimed a Class A district championship, according to The Macomb Daily.
