Crusaders Head to Lake Shore for League Baseball Showdown

Once again, it rests in the hands of Mother Nature.

Should the weather permit, there’s a highly anticipated baseball game slated to take place at Park in St. Clair Shores this afternoon.

A contest between two of the Macomb Area Conference White’s top squads, and , in one of the conference’s most competitive divisions.

Currently, both teams are knotted with five division wins. While the Crusaders sit in a tie atop the division with Romeo, the Shorians find themselves just one-half game behind the division leaders.

Both teams are coming into the game on a roll, with Lake Shore trouncing Utica Ford on Wednesday, 15-5, and LCN ousting rival L’Anse Creuse, 5-1, Tuesday afternoon.

As the regular season winds to a close, it's clear that the MAC White has become a three-team race—Romeo, Lake Shore and LCN.

A game between two of these squads, at this point in the season, in a race this close, is about as pivotal as it can get.
