Dakota, LCN Open 2012 Football Seasons at Home in Macomb Tonight
It's football season in Macomb Township, with Dakota and L'Anse Creuse North high school's opening their seasons Aug. 23.
Dig out your pom poms and don your school's colors, the 2012 high school football season opens today.
will take on Dearborn Fordson, while will battle Cousino for its first win in two consecutive seasons. Both teams will take on their opponents at home in Macomb Township. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.
Dakota finished its 2011 season 6-4, losing to Eisenhower in the first-round of the state playoffs. The Cougars are coached this season by veteran coach Mike Giannone. On the other side of town, the Crusaders welcome new coach Anthony Kiner,

- Aug. 23, 7 p.m. – Clintondale vs. Madison Heights Lamphere at Clintondale
- Aug. 23, 7 p.m. – Mount Clemens vs. Algonac at Mount Clemens
- Aug. 24, 4:30 p.m. – vs. Dearborn at Wayne State University
- Aug. 24, 7 p.m. – vs. Yale at Yale
- Aug. 25, 1:30 p.m. – Eisenhower vs. Port Huron at Wayne State University
