Dakota Players Sign to Play College Football at GVSU, Wayne State

Jeremy Byers and Jon Jarvie have committed to play football at Grand Valley and Wayne State universities, respectively.

athletes Jeremy Byers and Jon Jarvie will continue their football careers at the college level next year.

Byers, a tight end for the Cougars, has committed to play college ball for the Lakers at Grand Valley State University.

"We’re looking forward to seeing what he can do," said GVSU coach Matt Mitchell, of Byers. "He possesses everything we’re looking for in a tight end. He’s got very soft hands and can be utilized in our vertical passing game. (He has a) tremendous amount of passion for the game ... (and is) willing to do anything to help his team win."

In January, for the East Team in this year's Michigan High School Football Coaches Association All-Star Game at Central Michigan University.

Jarvie, a linebacker for the Cougars, committed to play for Wayne State University.
