Dakota Wins Girls Basketball Tournament

Kylie Churches leads Cougars to 52-33 victory over Port Huron Northern in championship game of Christmas tournament at Marysville.

The girls basketball team defeated Port Huron Northern 52-33 in the finals of the Christmas tournament at Marysville High School on Wednesday.

Kylie Churches posted a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Cougars.

Senior Erica Manduzzi scored nine points, and Olivia Savage, and Kylie Townsley each had seven points for Dakota.

had five points and six blocks; Jessica Mabry had four points and four steals; and Kyli Verduci had three points.

Dakota improved its record to 4-1 overall.
