L'Anse Creuse North Lady Kickers Defeat Rival L'Anse Creuse
Crusaders varsity girls' soccer team defeated the Lancers 4-1 Wednesday.
The varsity girls soccer team defeated rival L'Anse Creuse 4-1 in Wednesday's MAC crossover game.
Mackenzie Garrett and Marisa Oleksiak led North's scoring in the first half. Garrett scored two goals on assists by Oleksiak and Paige Thompson, and Oleksiak added a third goal off a free kick.
Heading into the second half it looked like the Crusaders would shut out the Lancers, with North's Samantha Micciche, assisted by Oleksiak, taking the score to 4-0.
However, a Lancers goal in the final minutes of the game ended the match at 4-1 Crusaders.

North is now 1-1 for the season and L'Anse Creuse 3-2.
