Lutheran North's McAuley Finishes Strong in School and Sport

All-Academic Lutheran High School North senior Keith McAuley starred at the state meet and in classroom.

Keith McAuley finished strong this season in both school and sport.

The senior was named all-academic this year for the Mustangs and had a strong performance at the Division 3 state track meet.

At states, McAuley placed fourth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.93 and placed eighth for the 300-meter hurdles posting a 41.23. He also competed in the 4x100-meter relay and the long jump.

"It is always enjoyable watching Keith run," said Lutheran North varsity track coach Tim Davis. "He is so smooth over the hurdles. Keith scored the most points of any athlete this year, 234 total."

McAuley is a two-time county champion for D-2-3-4 in the high hurdles and is the regional champion.

"Keith is always upbeat at all the practices," Davis said. "He is very dedicated and driven when it comes time to compete."
