Dakota Performs at Regional Cheer Competition

The Cougars place 11th out of 12 teams at meet in Lake Orion.

shouted, jumped, flipped and tumbled Saturday as they competed in the regional competitive cheer meet in Lake Orion. They placed 11th out of 12 teams; the top four teams advanced to the state competition in Grand Rapids next weekend.

Home team Lake Orion won the meet. Rochester's Stoney Creek High School, the reigning state champion, came in second place, followed by Southgate Anderson and Sterling Heights Stevenson.
