Macomb Golfer's Foursome Wins OCC 'Golf for Scholarships' Event
Representing Adecco Employment Services, Deane Droell of Macomb Township, Dan Williams of Warren, Doug Cloutier of Wixom and Chris Williams of Shelby Township won this year's Oakland Community College 'Golf for Scholarships' fundraiser.
A Macomb Township resident was part of the foursome that won this year's 20th annual Oakland Community College "Golf for Scholarships" fundraiser Aug. 19.
The event was held at Auburn Hills’ Fieldstone Golf Club and raised a total of $39,701.
One hundred and ten golfers took part in this year’s event.
The winning foursome, sponsored by Adecco Employment Services, and including Deane Droell of Macomb Township, Doug Cloutier of Wixom, Chris Williams of Shelby Township and Dan Williams of Warren, shot a 10-under-par 62.
The OCC “Golf for Scholarships” Fund is an endowment. This year’s contributions bring this total collected since the event’s founding to more than $700,000.
