Macomb Women Lead 5K, Half Marathon Segments of Romeo 2 Richmond Race

More than 400 runners competed in the 5K and half marathon segments of this year's Romeo 2 Richmond Race, including 40 some Macomb Township residents.

In the 5K race, which took place in downtown Richmond, Macomb resident Alison Wingfield, 27, took first as the overall female winner, logging a time of 23 minutes, 40 seconds.

Another Macomb woman, Amanda Hohnstadt, 23, led the half marathon to be named a female open winner. Hohnstadt ran the half marathon, from Romeo to Richmond, in one hour, 26 minutes and 59 seconds.
