The incoming freshman was a member of the strong Pirates team this season and was named to the Macomb American League tournament team.

"My proudest moment of Little League was when the Pirates made it to the championship game this season," Marx said. "It was our best season ever."

The self-proclaimed contact hitter, is a standout first baseman at 5 feet 10 inches, excelled academically at Iroquios Middle School and describes himself as "hardworking, smart and athletic."

He has a bit of advice for younger kids looking to improve their game.

"Never stop practicing," Marx said. "After games and practices, I go home and start practicing again. I field ground balls, play catch and go in to the basement to practice hitting."

Marx is also a ferocious soccer goalkeeper.

Next baseball goal for Marx? He has his sights set on Dakota High School's team.
