Viewfinder: Macomb Twp. Woman Wins Birmingham's Dash for Destiny 5K
The Junior League of Birmingham's third annual Dash for Destiny was held Sunday morning in downtown Birmingham.
Hundreds of racers turned out Sunday morning for the third annual , a 5K and one-mile fun run in downtown Birmingham, organized by the .
Also sponsoring the event was the nonprofit organization Wachler Comfort Bears for Kids, which donates teddy bears to hospitals and other organizations in order to help children through tough times. Children competing in the fun run received a comfort bear when they crossed the finish line.
The 5K race was won by Andrea Karl of Macomb Township in the female category and Zack Bolton of Birmingham in the male. The winners of the fun run were twins Nicholas Murray (first overall) and Emma Murray (first girl) of Berkley.
