Young Wrestlers Win State Titles for Dakota Club Team
Layne Malczewski, Tyler Sanders and Nicholas Barrett prevailed at the Michigan Youth Wrestling Association State Championship.
Three members of the Dakota Wrestling Club won state championships at a recent meet.
Layne Malczewski, Tyler Sanders and Nicholas Barrett all finished first in their respective weight classes at the Michigan Youth Wrestling Association State Championship on March 22-24 at Battle Creek.
Malczewski (2000-01) prevailed at 95 pounds, Sanders (98-99) won at 85 pounds and Barrett (98-99) took the crown at 80 pounds.

Other members of the Dakota Wrestling Club also had strong showings:
- Brett Stanley, 03-02, 71 pounds - 3rd place
- Logan Criteser, 08-06, 61 pounds - 2nd place
- Dustin Solomon, 00-01, 100 pounds - 2nd place
