Ante Up: Summer 2012 Tax Bills Mailed Out and Waiting to be Paid

Macomb Township residents can pay their summer 2012 taxes without penalty now through Sept. 14.

By now you should have received your summer tax bill in the mail from the Macomb Township Treasurer's Office.

Summer taxes are payable now through Sept. 14, 2012 without penalty. After this date, the following penalties are assessed:

  • 1 percent penalty for non-payment Sept. 15-Sept. 30
  • Additional 1 percent penalty for non-payment each month Oct. 1 through Feb. 28, 2013.
  • Failure to receive your tax bill does not waive interest or penalty.

How to Pay

To pay your taxes in person, bring your entire tax bill to the Treasurer's Office, 54111 Broughton Road, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

A secure drop box, where payments can be deposited 24 hours a day, is located at the top of the ramp by the rear entrance of the Town Hall. Taxes can be made with cash, check or money order.

Taxes can also be paid online with a debit or credit card. Convenience fees are applied to all payments except fund transfers from a bank account.

The Treasurer's Office cannot process such payments, but the kiosk provides a direct connection to the township's online bill pay service. The kiosk is located in the town hall lobby.
