Music & Events Schedule: Italian Festival 2012 in Downtown Mount Clemens

Festa Italiana kicks off Friday, July 20, at 5 p.m. in downtown Mount Clemens, featuring live music and authentic Italian food throughout the weekend.

Mount Clemens will transform into Little Italy this weekend as Festa Italiana 2012 takes over Market Street.

Organized by the Italian American Cultural Society, the annual Italian festival starts Friday, July 20 this year and runs through Sunday, July 22.

The fesitval will feature a cannoli-eating contest, three-days of Italian music, a children's fun zone, and authentic Italian food and drink provided by local restaurants such as Andiamo's, Picano's and Il Fornaio Bakery.

The festival starts at 5 p.m. Friday on the Lucido Family Stage.

Children's Fun Area

In addition to scheduled entertainment, there will be moonwalks, a water slide and putt-putt golf offered every day of the festival.

A $15 wrist band is available for all-day access to the children's fun area.
