Easter Giving: MCF Calls for Spring Support of Macomb's Homeless Children

The Macomb Charitable Foundation supports Macomb's homeless children and their families in a variety of ways throughout the spring and summer months. This Easter season, they need your support to continue their efforts.

Although best known for its , the works throughout the year to support the currently living in Macomb County.

It is the mission of this Macomb Township-based charity to make a difference in the lives of local children and their families, and this Easter season, MCF representatives are asking the community to offer their support in any way they can.

Here are a few ways you can help:

  • Sponsor a child for Easter. Make a tax deductible donation by filling out the donation form attached here. This gift will be used to provide a child in need with essentials, such as clothing, shoes, food and school supplies.
  • Organize a collection of gift cards for fast food restaurants or gas cards.
  • Donate items for the Trash to Treasure sale at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, scheduled for April. Read MCF's March 2012 newsletter for more information: www.macombcharitablefoundation.org
  • Donate items for the BIG GIVE at Lakeside Assembly of God Church, scheduled in May. Read MCF's March 2012 newsletter for more information: www.macombcharitablefoundation.org
  • Visit the Shelby Pub during the month of April. Mention MCF to your server and they will donate a portion of their proceeds to MCF.
  • Join MCF for an evening of fun and classic rock on Saturday, April 28, as the foundation will receive proceeds raised by the Rockin 4 Hunger volunteers.

In May, the foundation will be giving its female pantry visitors and homeless mothers new or gently-used purses filled with essentials, such as Band-Aids, lotion, aspirin, hand sanitizer, feminine hygiene products, and more. Consider making a financial donation for this cause or organizing an event to collect these items.
