Macomb County Looks to Recognize Outstanding Volunteers for 22nd Year

The county board of commissioners is accepting nominations for volunteers whose efforts have benefited the Macomb County community.

They are always willing to take on just one more duty. Be it to spend a few more hours of their time or donate a few more items from their pantry, volunteers are the foundation of charitable organizations and critical causes throughout the world.

They perform much of this work selflessly and now, for the 22nd year, the Macomb County Board of Commissioners wants to recognize the difference these individuals have made right here in southeast Michigan.

The board is seeking nominations through April 29, for county residents who make a difference in the community by giving their talents and time as volunteers.

There is no restriction on nominations, so anyone is eligible to submit a potential honoree, even if they are not affiliated with a church, school, charity or other special group.

Volunteers nominated must be 18 years of age or older. The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. April 29. Additional criteria and the nomination form can be found on the board of commissioners website.
