This November, Macomb Community College will ask voters to approve a $56 million bond to upgrade college facilities and technology. The MCC board of trustees authorized the placement of this Facilities and Technology Bond Proposal on the Nov. 6 general election ballot. “I and my colleagues on Macomb’s board of trustees take very seriously the responsibility we have to represent the needs of the community,” said James F. Kelly, board chairperson, in a prepared statement. “To maintain its role as an indispensable resource that supports the county’s economic vitality, the college is at a point that it is important to strategically and systematically plan for moderate capital expenditures to renovate and update facilities and technology.” …

With a little help from the 2006 bond, the high school has made significant upgrades to its equipment and technology.
A coffee shop, state-of-the-art computer lab and television broadcast studio are only a few of the improvements students will see when they return to New Haven High School this year. Using part of the 2006 bond for high school improvements, the district overhauled its library with the chief objective of bringing its technology and services into the 21st century. “We surveyed students about the high school last year and one thing they consistently said was our library was useless,” said Superintendent Keith Wunderlich in a release. “How can students write papers on today’s issues and do research if the library has nothing current? Andrew Joseph Criscuolo, 21, will face charges of domestic violence, assault with a dangerous weapon and possession of a controlled substance following a Dec. 7 attack on his mother.
A Macomb Township man, charged on counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, domestic violence and possession of a controlled substance, has been released on a $10,000 personal bond to await his Dec. 21 court date. Just after 2 a.m. on Dec. 7, Macomb County Sheriff's deputies arrested Andrew Joseph Criscuolo, 21, following a 911 call by Criscuolo's mother, who said she had been hit on head with a wooden hammer. When authorities arrived at the home, they found Criscuolo's mother sitting on the kitchen floor with blood on her face and clothing. Moving into the basement, where the attack had taken place, deputies found Criscuolo's father sitting on top of his son, who was unsconscious.
