Armed Robber Who Stole from Chesterfield Gas Station at Large
Chesterfield Township police said Monday they're searching for a man who robbed the Speedway gas station on 21 Mile near Interstate 94.
Investigators are searching for an armed robber who targeted a Chesterfield Township gas station, police said Monday. At approximately 4 a.m. Sunday, the suspect walked into the Speedway gas station at 26115 21 Mile near I-94. He selected food items from the station and approached the counter with money in his hand. As the clerk began to ring him up, he pulled out a black handgun and demanded money from the register, according to township Detective Sgt. Deron Myers. The clerk complied with the thief's demands and he then fled behind the gas station with an undisclosed amount of cash.
