Baby's Memory Kept Alive With Stuffed Animal Donations for Young Hospital Patients

This is the Patton family's 11th stuffed animal drive held in memory of baby Erin. Collection bins will be available at Cobblestone Ridge Dentistry in Macomb Township and McKernan Chiropractic in Shelby Township through Oct. 2.

Joining the dozens of teddy bears, dinosaurs, rabbits and dogs, there is always one panda among the Patton family’s annual stuffed animal donations to Children's Hospital and St. John's. MI Works! Students Deliver Holiday Color to Children's Hospital Patients

L'Anse Creuse Public Schools MI Works! students tie-dyed 60 pillowcases to brighten the holidays of young patients of Children's Hospital this season.

Each year, the students plan, fund and craft a service project that benefits the local community. Today, students will deliver 60 tie-dye pillowcases to the Stilson Speciality Center for distribution to those who may be spending this holiday season in the hospital rather than at home. “The pillowcases are two-fold,” said Kim Goss, MI Works! support specialist …

MI Works! Students Gift Handmade Pillows to Children's Hospital

L'Anse Creuse North students crafted and delivered more than a dozen fleece pillows to be distributed among patients at the Stilson Specialty Center in Clinton Township.

This holiday season, sleep study patients at the Children's Hospital of Michigan Stilson Specialty Center will receive colorful, handmade pillows courtesy of L'Anse Creuse High School and L'Anse Creuse North High School MI Works! students. Each year, MI Works! students plan, fund and craft a service project to benefit the local community. Some suggestions for this year's project included blankets for nursing home residents, food and blanket donations to local animal shelters, and pillows for the young patients of Children's Hospital. "We chose a pillow, because it can be something comforting that they can also put to use," said Llynette Kincaide, LCN senior and lead designer on the project. "It is something they can hold onto and say is …
