PTI Plastics Leads Clinton River Clean-Up in Macomb Twp.; Volunteers Still Needed
The clean-up, organized by PTI Engineered Plastics, will take place from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday near 23 Mile and Romeo Plank.
The Clinton River is a major spillway into Lake St. Clair and inevitably the Great Lakes, and that’s only one reason why keeping the waterway clean is so important. Volunteers will descend on stretches of the Clinton River throughout the area Saturday, Sept. 8, to pick up debris, remove invasive species and stencil storm drains. Historically, more than 300 volunteers have participated in Clinton Clean-Up, according to the Clinton River Watershed Council. PTI Engineered Plastics in Macomb Township is leading the local cleaning effort, set for 10 a.m. until noon.
