Passenger Accused of Pointing Gun During Macomb Township Road Rage Incident

Two men were arrested Tuesday after one of them allegedly pointed a handgun at another driver during a road rage incident in Macomb Township, police said Thursday. At approximately 6:47 p.m., Macomb County Sheriff's deputies said they were called to the Hall and Hayes area after a motorist reported someone waved a handgun at him. They pulled over a 19-year-old Shelby Township man and his 20-year-old passenger from Virginia Beach, VA in the Hayes and 21 Mile area. When deputies approached the GMC Denali, they smelled marijuana. The men denied having a handgun. Macomb Road Rage Driver Accused of Swinging Bat

A road rage incident Wednesday quickly devolved into an attack with a baseball bat on one of the driver's vehicles in Macomb Township, according to a Macomb County Sheriff report. At approximately 3:40 p.m., a 29-year-old Macomb Township woman reported that she and a 30-year-old male, also from the township, exchanged insults and hand gestures while driving. The woman then followed the male driver to his home on Chevalier in Westbridge Manor Mobile Home Park, where he allegedly retrieved a baseball bat, according to the report. The woman told deputies that he pointed the bat at her face and then swung it at her car, causing damage. The man denied her accusations, telling deputies that he did not own a baseball bat. Do trailers have garages? I thought everyone in a "mobile home park" parked in car ports or just parked outside. I just found it odd that the story said the officer found a bat in the corner of his garage in a "mobile home park". Father Shoots Out Tires As Son Drives, Man Gets Unruly in Clinton Township Court

A 64-year-old Harrison Township man was arrested the evening of April 25 after he allegedly shot out the tires of the car his son was driving, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. The suspect and his 24-year-old son got into an argument at the 37000 block of Elm Lane. The father ordered him to leave but forbade him from taking the 2002 Chevy Malibu, the Sheriff's Office said. As the son started leaving the driveway in the Malibu, the father emerged from the home with a shotgun and "fired at least three rounds, flattening two tires on one side of the vehicle," the Sheriff's Office stated. Prankster Text Messages: 'I Hid The Body,' House Fire and More

An anonymous person sent a text message to a Macomb Township homeowner March 18, stating "OK, I hid the body," according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. The message, sent from a 586 area code number, was a mystery to the recipient who didn't know the sender and reported the incident to police. The Sheriff's Office says such messages have become a common prank to random cell phone numbers. The Macomb County Sheriff's Office helped the Macomb Township Fire Department respond to a house fire Wednesday at the 17000 block of Tower. No one was injured, and the fire is not deemed suspicious. Woman Arrested on St. Patrick's Day for Child Endangerment

The Lenox Township woman was stopped by Macomb County Sheriff's deputies in Chesterfield Township.

A 32-year-old Lenox Township woman was arrested Sunday on suspicion of child endangerment and operating under the influence of drugs in Chesterfield Township, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. The arrest took place around 8:30 p.m. on St. Patrick's Day in the Gratiot and 24 Mile area. During that time, deputies pulled over the woman for erratic driving. Once they approached the car, they noticed two children--ages 2 and 4--unrestrained in the back of the vehicle, Lt. John Michalke of the Sheriff's Office said. $1,000 Bill Yanked in Jewelry Store Smash-and-Grab

Macomb County Sheriff's deputies responded to an alarm at a jewelry store around 11:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at Romeo Plank and 21 Mile. They found someone broke the front window at Matt's Jewelry Brokers. The owner said a $1,000 bill was missing along with a $500 bill, according to the Sheriff's Office.  In the early morning of Feb. 4, police observed a 25-year-old Clinton Township man breaking into the same business. The suspect got into his Honda Accord, leading police on a chase before crashing his car and getting placed under arrest, the Sheriff's Office stated.  Investigators are exploring whether he had any connection to the Jan. 31 crime at the business. Thief Shops in Texas on Macomb Township Resident's Dime and More

A 44-year-old Macomb Township woman reported to police that someone charged $218 in merchandise in Texas to her Discover credit card without her authorization, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. The credit card company notified the victim Jan. 8 of the fraud that took place at a store in Universal Court, Texas. The unknown suspect was somehow able to obtain a duplicate card for the purchase and then tried unsuccessfully to charge another couple hundred dollars at the same location, a police report stated. A Discover representative contacted the victim about the fraud and possible identity theft. The same credit theft occurred to 2 people in my family in the past 6 months. Research on the crime blames either unsafe online shopping hacked for card info where thieves then mold a card for use. The other method is a scanner placed over readers that copies the details electronically. It's seems very difficult to avoid unless we all go back to old school spending, cash and checks!
