Patch Contest Winner Enjoys Grub Crawl

Contest winner enjoyed food at 10 Macomb County restaurants during the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event.

Macomb Township resident Michael Schroeder, the winner of the 2012 Patch Spring Grub Crawl contest, and his family enjoyed a night out Wednesday. They took part in the Grub Crawl, and enjoyed food at 10 Macomb County restaurants during the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event.

Drum Roll Please: The Winner of the Grub Crawl Ticket Contest is ...

One lucky reader and a friend will enjoy a free evening out at the 2012 Grub Crawl Wednesday night.

The winner of the 2012 Patch Spring Grub Crawl contest is Macomb Township resident Michael Schroeder. Schroeder and a friend will be gnashing on some free and delicious food April 25 at 10 Macomb County restaurants during the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event. More than 30 people entered to win two free tickets to the eating extravaganza by telling Patch what their favorite restaurant in Macomb County is and why. To read viewer's responses, click here. Schroeder told Patch readers his favorite restaurant in Macomb County is Jaun Miguel in Clinton Township, and he wasn't alone in his opinion of the Mexican restaurant. The winner was chosen at random. The prize, two free tickets to the event, is valued at $40. …

It's Grub Crawl Time: Enter to Win Free Tickets

Patch is giving away two free tickets to the Spring Grub Crawl.

It’s that time of year; when spring is in the air and the smell of gourmet food wafting from restaurants along the Hall Road corridor lures you in. Don’t fret, you don’t have to choose just one of the many delicious restaurants. Join the Sterling Heights Chamber of Commerce’s bi-annual Grub Crawl April 25 and sample the menu at 10 restaurants. Participating restaurants are: Tickets are being sold for $25 per person; $40 for two people or $150 for 10 people—alcohol is not included, but each restaurant will be offering drink specials. Photos: Champion Grub Crawlers Hit 9 Restaurants in 4 Hours

Eat, drink and be merry was the theme of the night Wednesday at the 2011 Sterling Heights Chamber of Commerce's Fall Grub Crawl. You do the math: four buses, dozens of people and nine restaurants in four hours = really good time. Grub Crawlers sampled delicacies from nine restaurants during the chamber's biannual crawl. Participating restaurants included: Buffalo Wild Wings, BD’s Mongolian BBQ, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Cass Bar and Grill, Dooley’s Tavern, Gus O’ Connors Irish Pub, Max and Erma’s, Mr. B’s Shelby and Uno’s Chicago Grill. A good time was had by all, including Patch's special guests, winners of the Patch Grub Crawl contest. Check out Patch's photos to see highlights of the night.
