Macomb Township Seeks Slices of History

Township Supervisor Janet Dunn is forming a historical society in the community.

Old photographs or documents tied to Macomb Township might be collecting dust in someone's attic, but they're in high demand at town hall. Township Supervisor Janet Dunn is pursuing her longtime goal of forming a historical society in the community with help from volunteers. Five people have recently stepped forward to join the group that aims to record the township's past. “I’m trying to make people aware that I want those old pictures, I want those old documents for historical capacity," Dunn said. The new supervisor became interested in township history because her husband's family is deeply rooted in the community.
