Macomb County Native Directs Barbra Streisand in 'The Guilt Trip'
Anne Fletcher, a former St. Clair Shores resident, directs Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen in the new movie "The Guilt Trip."
Anne Fletcher has gone from the suburbs of Macomb County to the silver screen. Fletcher began dancing in her pre-teen years, and taught other dancers in her mother's basement in St. Clair Shores. But she had dreams of performing on a bigger stage in California. After graduating in 1984 from Lake Shore High School, she headed west. "She was following a dream. She wanted to dance and act," said her mother Kathleen Fletcher, who now lives in Grosse Pointe. Once she arrived in Hollywood she began taking dance and acting classes, taking in everything along way including how to choreograph for film.
