Two men were arrested Tuesday after one of them allegedly pointed a handgun at another driver during a road rage incident in Macomb Township, police said Thursday. At approximately 6:47 p.m., Macomb County Sheriff's deputies said they were called to the Hall and Hayes area after a motorist reported someone waved a handgun at him. They pulled over a 19-year-old Shelby Township man and his 20-year-old passenger from Virginia Beach, VA in the Hayes and 21 Mile area. When deputies approached the GMC Denali, they smelled marijuana. The men denied having a handgun. A road rage incident Wednesday quickly devolved into an attack with a baseball bat on one of the driver's vehicles in Macomb Township, according to a Macomb County Sheriff report. At approximately 3:40 p.m., a 29-year-old Macomb Township woman reported that she and a 30-year-old male, also from the township, exchanged insults and hand gestures while driving. The woman then followed the male driver to his home on Chevalier in Westbridge Manor Mobile Home Park, where he allegedly retrieved a baseball bat, according to the report. The woman told deputies that he pointed the bat at her face and then swung it at her car, causing damage. The man denied her accusations, telling deputies that he did not own a baseball bat. A 64-year-old Harrison Township man was arrested the evening of April 25 after he allegedly shot out the tires of the car his son was driving, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. The suspect and his 24-year-old son got into an argument at the 37000 block of Elm Lane. The father ordered him to leave but forbade him from taking the 2002 Chevy Malibu, the Sheriff's Office said. As the son started leaving the driveway in the Malibu, the father emerged from the home with a shotgun and "fired at least three rounds, flattening two tires on one side of the vehicle," the Sheriff's Office stated. A 35-year-old Macomb Township woman contacted the Macomb County Sheriff's Office April 22 to report that her pet ferret was taken from her home during a party. According to a police report, pictures of the ferret and the name of a 17-year-old suspect were posted on Facebook following the party. Deputies confronted the suspect, and the kidnapped ferret was returned to the owner. The suspect told the deputies that someone gave her the ferret in the driveway after the party. Macomb County Sheriff's Office Detective Sgt. Jason Abro stated in a report posted on CBS Detroit that the case will be turned over to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

A semi truck driver who crashed into a Macomb Township condominium complex Tuesday told deputies he blacked out before the accident, police said Wednesday. Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said the Farmington Hills man was taken to the hospital to be treated after he told police at the scene of the medical episode. He was not believed to have suffered injuries in the crash. Two people inside the condo at the time were unharmed. The condos affected by the crash were evacuated because the structure was unstable, ClickonDetroit reported from the scene. The accident took place on Warwick Drive off Garfield between Hall Road and 21 Mile.

According to an article in the Detroit Free Press, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said they are looking for the thief that targeted homes that were awaiting estate sales or homes of families who were at funerals. The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Sunday apartment explosion that injured multiple individuals in Harrison Township. Although initially given a false story, investigators said Monday they determined the apartment was being used as a drug lab. "Through witness statements, interviews and a review of evidence at the scene, it was determined that the residents of the apartment were using a chemical process to extract THC from marijuana plants in the kitchen of the residence,'" according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. Seniors in Macomb County will have an opportunity April 11 to dispose of unwanted medication, and have personal documents shred for free, at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights. Macomb County Senior Citizen Services and mobile shredding company, Absolute Shreds, will shred unwanted personal documents. Additionally, Health Department officials and a deputy from the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office assist seniors with the disposal of unwanted medications. Pills must be removed from bottles and placed in a plastic bag, according to Macomb County. Narcotic painkillers and stimulants will be accepted, but must be placed in a separate plastic bag, officials added.
