Search Continues for Flagstar Robber; Teens Caught Vandalizing Ebeling Elementary

Man robs Hall Road Flagstar, flees on green mountain bike Macomb County Sheriff's detectives are searching for a man in his late 30s to early 40s who robbed a Flagstar bank on Aug. 31 in Macomb Township. The man approached a teller at the 20355 Hall Road location with a note that implied he had a gun and ordered an undisclosed amount of money be turned over, according to the sheriff's office. The robbery occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. Authorities describe the suspect as white, in his late 30s to early 40s, with a thin build and standing around 6 feet tall. He was wearing a dark blue or black T-shirt, blue jean shorts, work boots, white socks and a baseball cap with red writing at the time of the robbery. The sheriff's office believes …

Thieves Target Vacationing Homeowners, Jewelry, Cash Taken in Weekend Break-in

On Aug. 19, at approximately 12:20 p.m., homeowners in the 21000 block of Sunset Drive in Macomb Township reported to the sheriff’s office that someone had broken into their home while they were away for the weekend. Sheriff’s deputies suspect the intruder, or intruders, entered the home through a locked bedroom window. The homeowners say jewelry and cash were among the items taken. There are no suspects at this time, according to the sheriff’s office. This is the third home invasion Macomb Patch has reported in the last two weeks in which the homeowners were out of town when the break-in occurred. Macomb County Sheriff's Det. Sgt. Cali Man Goes to Federal Prison for Sex With Macomb Twp. Girl

Adelso Vicente, 29, was sentenced this month to serve more than 11 years in federal prison for engaging in sexual acts with a 13-year-old girl.

The California man convicted of driving cross country to have sex with a 13-year-old Macomb Township girl has been sentenced to serve more than a decade in federal prison, according to The Daily Tribune. Adelso Vicente, 29, was sentenced this month in two courts to 135 months in prison (U.S. District Court) and 85 months to 15 years (Macomb County Circuit Court). The Daily Tribune reports these terms will be served concurrently in a federal prison near Palo Alto. Vicente, an undocumented resident from Guatemala, drove to Michigan twice last year to meet with a Macomb Township teen he met on Facebook, according to The Daily Tribune. $5,000 in Jewelry, Cash Reported Stolen in Macomb Twp. Home Break-ins

Owners estimate $5K in jewelry stolen in home break-in On Aug. 13, at approximately 9:24 p.m., homeowners in the 16600 block of White Plains Drive reported break-in to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. Deputies found the intruder, or intruders, had gained entry to the home by kicking in the front door. The homeowners reported an estimated $5,000 in jewelry missing. No other items in the home were reported missing, according to the police report. There are no suspects at this time. Police Blotter: Suspects Knock Out Elderly Owner in Macomb Home Break-In

Unknown suspects break into Macomb home, knock out owner On Aug. 7, at approximately 12:22 a.m., two unknown suspects broke into a home on the 47600 block of Concord Road in Macomb Township and assaulted the owner, according to a Macomb County Sheriff’s report. The 71-year-old homeowner told sheriff’s deputies he had just come downstairs when he was struck in the back of the head by an unknown suspect, losing consciousness for several seconds. When he awoke, the homeowner said he heard one of the suspects say, “Let’s go.” Although he was unable to see the second individual, he described one suspect as a male, wearing a backwards baseball cap with an old English D on the front. Crime Update: Suspects in Child Porn, Arson and Gang Violence Cases Await Charges, Sentencing

From the Macomb Township resident who allegedly moonlights as the vice president of a motorcycle gang to the men charged in doling out vigilante justice to a group of Dakota students, here are a few of the court cases Patch is following.

Macomb Township may have a relatively low crime rate, but it too has its cases of arson, child pornography, assault and gang violence. Several cases committed by and against township residents have been making their way through the criminal justice system over the past year. Some have been delayed, while others are expected to arrive at their conclusion in late August or September. Police Say Sam's Club Snickers Thief Caught 'Brown Handed'

A Macomb Township man was captured on camera five separate times unwrapping Snickers candy bars at Sam's Club and eating them in the store, police say.

OUTSIDE DETROIT, MI -- A 65-year-old man faces larceny charges after police say on multiple occasions he unwrapped Snickers chocolate bars at a local Sam's Club and ate the candy while he shopped. The Macomb Township man, whose name has not been released pending arraignment on larceny charges, was caught on camera unwrapping the chocolate multipacks on five occasions in the past month, according to Utica police.  Since the man allegedly unwrapped multipacks at the discount store in in Utica that can no longer be sold, Sam's Club estimates it has lost $116 in merchandise. Police Blotter: Card Road Kroger Employee Robbed of Receipts at Gunpoint

Kroger employee robbed at gunpoint On July 18, at approximately 11 p.m., an unknown individual robbed an employee of the Kroger at 21 Mile Road and Card at gunpoint, according to the sheriff's office. The suspect, described as a black male in his early 20s and wearing a hoodie, approached the employee in the store’s parking lot. Pulling a handgun from his waist area, the suspect pointed it at the employee and said, “Give me everything,” according to the sheriff's office. The employee handed over a blue bank bag filled with receipts and the suspect fled the scene. Macomb County Sheriff’s K9 units searched the scene, but neither the suspect nor the bank bag was found. Judge Orders Macomb Devils Diciple to Remain in Jail

Paul Darrah, the alleged national vice president of the Devils Diciples Motorcycle Club, was scheduled to be released on $10,000 unsecured bond.

The Macomb Township man identified by federal prosecutors as the national vice president of the Devils Diciples Motorcycle Club will remain behind bars this week by order of a federal judge, according to the Detroit News. On Monday, U.S. Magistrate Judge R. Steven Whalen ordered Paul Anthony “Pauli” Darrah, 48, of Macomb, be freed on a $10,000 unsecured bond. U.S. District Judge Robert Cleland reversed this order following an appeal by federal prosecutors arguing Darrah was "a danger to the public and a flight risk," according to the Detroit News. Darrah was among 41 members of the Devils Diciples Motorcycle Gang identified in an 83-page federal indictment unsealed July 13 in U.S. District Court in Detroit. Members of the Clinton Township-…

Macomb man arrested for possession of child pornography A 45-year-old Macomb Township man was arrested Saturday for allegedly possessing child pornography, in one instance showing a victim as young as 6 years old. Daniel Joseph Morris was arraigned Monday in the 41-A District Court of Shelby Township on 10 counts of child pornography possession and one count of use of a computer communicating with another to commit a crime. These are both felonies, punishable by up to four and seven years in prison, respectively. Macomb Area Computer Enforcement detectives executed a search warrant of Morris' residence in Macomb Township, where they seized a computer and related material.
