Cheyenne Elementary Parent Banned from School After Lockdown, Charge Pending

Cheyenne Elementary parent faces disturbing the peace charge, ban from school grounds The Macomb Township resident whose actions, police say, led to the lockdown at Cheyenne Elementary School last week is now facing a charge of disturbing the peace and a ban from all school property. The school was put into lockdown Dec. 12 after administrators learned a suspicious person had entered the building. Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said the individual was later identified as a parent who had entered the school through a side door, rather than the main entrance designated for visitors. “He knocked on the door but it was locked,” Wickersham said, in a previous interview with Patch. “Apparently kids came to the door, he threatened them …

Macomb Man Convicted on Child Porn Charges Could Face Up to 60 Years in Prison

Thomas William Wooten, 33 of Macomb Township, was convicted by a federal jury Friday of producing and distributing child pornography.

A 33-year-old Macomb Township man was convicted by a federal jury in Detroit Friday of producing and distributing child pornography, some of which included images of a victim as young as 3 years old.  Thomas William Wooten was found guilty following a five-day trial before U.S. District Judge Marianne O. Battani, according to a FBI press release.  During the trial, federal prosecutors showed that Wooten both produced and distributed pornographic images of a 3-year-old girl via the Internet. One of these images include a video of the girl engaging in a sexual act with Wooten, the FBI reports. Wooten was also shown to have downloaded and collected hundreds of pornographic images and videos, some of which were obtained by trading the images …

Macomb Man Faces Prison Time for Role in Alleged Credit-Wiping Scam

A federal indictment charges that Bernadino Pavone was part of a scam to defraud customers by claiming that his company, ICR, possessed a computer program that was capable of erasing negative information from credit reports.

A Macomb Township man and his 75-year-old mother are due to be sentenced Dec. 17 for their role in a scam that federal prosecutors say duped customers out of millions of dollars, The Macomb Daily reports. Initially indicted in 2004, Bernadino Pavone and Gloria Tactac entered a plea bargain with the U.S. Attorney's Office in Detroit in 2011. Pavone is the father of Julian Pavone, the 8-year-old musical prodigy most recently named "world's youngest professional drummer" by the Guinness Book of World Records. The 2004 indictment charges that Bernadino Pavone, Gloria Tactac and Abood Samaan, a co-defendant, were part of a scam to defraud customers by claiming that their company, ICR, possessed a computer program that was capable of erasing …

Memphis man arrested for possession of marijuana  On Nov. 12, at approximately 12:45 a.m., a 19-year-old Memphis man was arrested for possession of marijuana, according to police. The man was arrested following a traffic stop in the area of Sabrina Drive and Marina Circle.   Macomb Township man arrested for possession of marijuana On Nov. 12, at approximately 12:09 a.m., a 20-year-old Macomb Township man was arrested for possession of marijuana and his 22-year-old driver, also from Macomb Township, cited for driving without a license, according to police. Wow thats just great the only real crime in this article and there are no suspects. Hmmm why is that they can bust kids with pot but cant find the person that broke into a house? There is something seriosuly wrong with our system. I'm a business owner and my busness was broken into guess what no leads. Woman arrested for assaulting court officer and sheriff's deputy A 63-year-old Macomb Township woman was arrested Nov. 3 for assaulting a court officer and a Macomb County sheriff's deputy outside a home on Ashley Lauren Drive. The woman first assaulted the court officer who was attempting to seize a vehicle at the residence and went on to assault the sheriff’s deputy who arrived to assist, according to police. Macomb man accused of delivering marijuana On Oct. 23, at approximately 9:04 p.m., Macomb County sheriff's deputies arrested a 20-year-old Macomb Township man for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver in the area of Romeo Plank and 24 Mile Road. The man was a passenger in the vehicle of another 20-year-old from Macomb Township who was cited for possession of narcotic paraphernalia, according to the sheriff's office. Key Witness in Clinton Twp. Murder Trial Arrested in Macomb for Indecent Exposure

Tonina Borgia's arrest left her unable to testify in the murder trial of her 63-year-old mother, leading a judge to declare a mistrial in the case.

A Macomb County Circuit judge declared a second mistrial Wednesday in the murder case of a Clinton Township grandmother accused of drowning her 4-year-old grandson after a key witness in the case was arrested this week for indecent exposure, according to the Detroit Free Press. Tonina Borgia, 27, was slated to testify in the trial of her mother, 63-year-old Terry Borgia, who is facing a charge of first-degree premeditated murder in the 2010 death of her grandson, DeAngelo Tobia. However, a mistrial was declared Wednesday after the judge learned of Tonina Borgia’s arrest and subsequent inability to testify, according to the Detroit Free Press.
