Macomb Kicks Off 2012 Holidays With Nov. 28 Tree Lighting and After Glow Event
The free event begins at 7 p.m. at the foot of Macomb Township Hall off 25 Mile Road. Caroling, crafts, and visits with Santa will follow indoors at the Rec Center.
It’s a holly, jolly, township event. Macomb officially kicks off the holiday season Nov. 28 by illuminating the township’s evergreen outside town hall during the eighth annual Tree Lighting and After Glow event. The evening, sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department, starts at 7 p.m. with Santa’s arrival on a firetruck, caroling, and the tree lighting. A first grade student from Sequoyah Elementary School – whose name will be revealed at the event – was selected to help Santa light the tree. After, the free celebration moves indoors to the Recreation Center, where families will receive a special 3D holographic holiday glass. Looking for more seasonal activities?
