$1,000 Bill Yanked in Jewelry Store Smash-and-Grab

Macomb County Sheriff's deputies responded to an alarm at a jewelry store around 11:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at Romeo Plank and 21 Mile. They found someone broke the front window at Matt's Jewelry Brokers. The owner said a $1,000 bill was missing along with a $500 bill, according to the Sheriff's Office. In the early morning of Feb. 4, police observed a 25-year-old Clinton Township man breaking into the same business. The suspect got into his Honda Accord, leading police on a chase before crashing his car and getting placed under arrest, the Sheriff's Office stated.
