Macomb County Sheriff Mounted Deputies to Participate in Presidential Inaugural Parade
The two reserve deputies will represent the Macomb County Sheriff's Office during the 2013 ceremonies in Washington, D.C.
Two Macomb County Sheriff's Mounted Division reserve deputies will participate in the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Parade this month in Washington, D.C., according to Sheriff Anthony Wickersham. As part of the Multi-Jurisdictional Police Drill Team, Reserve Deputies Paula Keena and Anita Schmidt will represent the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office Jan. 21, joining the parade and witnessing the presidential swearing-in ceremony and inaugural address. I was proud to find that Michigan was being represented in the parade. The reserve sheriff's mounted patrol was selected from numerous groups that had volunteered and the fact that they had to pay for it out of their own funds shows that They are proud of Michigan and are willing to show the world who we are.
