The new location opened on Monday, Dec. 2, and will serve customers from 10 a.m to 4 a.m. seven days a week.
If you find yourself craving that "fourth meal," you can now add the northeast corner of Romeo Plank and Hall Road to your list of Taco Bell locations. Macomb Township's newest fast food restaurant opened its doors Monday, Dec. 3. The township approved construction of the franchise in fall 2011, but Taco Bell didn't break ground on the new location until August of this year. The lot on which Taco Bell now sits formerly housed a BP gas station, which had been vacant for more than a year when Taco Bell announced its plans for the property. The restaurant is open 10 a.m. to midnight seven days a week, with the drive-thru open from 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. seven days as well. When Macomb Patch asked readers in November 2011 what they thought of the …

Babycakes Cafe Cupcakes and More is set to open Dec. 20 at Romeo Plank and 23 Mile Road across from St. Isidore Catholic Church.
Have you noticed Macomb Township’s serious lack of cupcakes? Pamela Ferguson certainly did, so one year ago the Bruce Township businesswoman set out to soothe the sweet tooth of an area in desperate need of a little frosted TLC. “I knew there was nothing like this around and people are begging for a coffee shop in this area,” Ferguson said. “One day I was in a cupcake shop, buying cupcakes, and a light bulb went off.” Babycakes Café Cupcakes and More is set to open Dec. 20. “I’m really excited to bring these products, Michigan-made products, to Macomb Township, an area that doesn’t have a business such as this,” Ferguson said. “Whether its parents buying a cupcake for their child to reward them on a good day, or special ordering cupcakes …

Taco Bell has received township approval to build a new restaurant on Hall Road.
Drive westbound on Hall Road and you'll pass dozens of traditional and fast food eateries, the newest of which promises to be Taco Bell. The Mexican fast-food restaurant has petitioned for and received a special land use permit to set up shop on the northeast corner of Hall and Romeo Plank roads in Macomb Township. Formerly the home of a BP gas station, the lot has sat vacant for almost a year. Macomb Township Clerk Michael Koehs said Taco Bell has been approved to build a new facility but, given the fast approach of winter and significant amount of groundwork needed before building can begin, he doesn't expect construction on the new venue to start until spring 2012. This new eatery would be the chain's second location in Macomb.
