Sheriff Investigating Theft of Sprint Store on Hall Road in Macomb Township

Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said that detectives are investigating the burglary of a Sprint Store in Macomb Township. According to a statement from the Macomb County Sheriff's Department, three masked men broke into the Sprint Store at 24941 Hall Road on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 10:56 p.m. The sheriff’s department said the men disabled the alarm system and took approximately $70,000 worth of merchandise from the store. The men left in a light-colored minivan, perhaps a Chrysler, according to the report. The sheriff’s department said the incident was captured on videotape, and that the incident remains under investigation. Alleged Stars & Stripes Shooter to Face Felony Assault, Armed Robbery and Firearm Charges

Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham has identified Demitrus Marcellas Ludaway as the suspect who shot a Detroit man in the leg Friday at the Mount Clemens Stars & Stripes Festival.

The 18-year-old Warren man accused of shooting a Detroit resident at the Mount Clemens Stars & Stripes Festival Friday will face multiple felony charges this week, police say. Demitrus Marcellas Ludaway is facing charges of assault with intent to murder, armed robbery and felony firearm, according to police. He is currently being held in the Macomb County Jail on a $75,000 cash/surety bond and is expected to be arraigned Monday in 41B District Court in Clinton Township. Sheriff: Shelby Township Boater Runs Over Anchored Vessel, Injures Passengers, Kills Dog

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office is charging Kevin Scott Bushon with operating while intoxicated causing serious injury after a Saturday night boating accident on Lake St. Clair.

A 34-year-old Shelby Township man involved in a late-night boating accident on Lake St. Clair that has left a Roseville couple injured and their dog dead is now facing a charge of operating while intoxicated causing serious injury, police say.  Kevin Scott Bushon is reported to have run over an an anchored vessel Saturday night, severely injuring a 47-year-old man from Roseville and his 47-year-old wife. Their dog died as a result of the collision, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office reports in a news release. Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said deputies from the Sheriff's Marine Division and U.S. Coast Guard personnel responded to "Mayday" call for help at approximately 10:42 p.m. Saturday on Lake St. Clair. 72-year-old Macomb Township Man Hit, Killed Late Monday

Tomislav Anakiev was walking in the center of 24 Mile Road, east of Hayes Road, around 11:17 p.m. Monday when he was hit and killed, according to the sheriff's office.

A 72-year-old Macomb Township man was hit and killed by a car Monday night as he was walking in the center of 24 Mile Road, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said a preliminary investigation has revealed that Tomislav Anakiev was walking in the center of 24 Mile Road, east of Hayes Road, around 11:17 p.m. last night when he was hit by a vehicle traveling westbound on 24 Mile Road. Anakiev was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 62-year-old Utica man, was questioned and released at the scene. Wickersham said that alcohol does not appear to have been a factor at this time. The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office will be continuing its investigation and anyone with information regarding the …

Car search reveals stun gun, marijuana, Mace and club-like wrench On April 26, at approximately 6:58 p.m., Macomb County Sheriff's deputies stopped a vehicle that appeared to be speeding in the area of 22 Mile Road and Romeo Plank. The 18-year-old Macomb Township driver was initially arrested for operating without a license, but when deputies searched the car, they found a suspected jar of marijuana, an electric stun gun, a can of Mace and a large wrench wrapped with tape and shaped like a club, according to the police report. Deputies also found a grinder, typically used for marijuana, and a glass pipe in the 17-year-old passenger's purse. The substance in the jar tested positive for marijuana and the man was arrested for possession of …

Police Blotter: Speeding Drunken Driver Arrested on 22 Mile Road

On April 18, at approximately 1:38 a.m., a Macomb County Sheriff's deputy registered a Chesterfield Township man driving 63 mph along a 45 mph stretch of 22 Mile Road in Macomb Township. The 45-year-old driver was pulled over in the area of Card Road and Emanuel Drive where he was asked to perform a series of sobriety tests. The man failed these tests and registered a blood alcohol content of .168 in his preliminary breath test, according to the police report. The man was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a high blood alcohol content and transported to the Macomb County Jail. Serial Pantyhose Flasher Spotted at Partridge Creek

Clinton Township police say the suspect, who is sought in several other obscene incidents, exposed himself at Forever 21.

Clinton Township police are reporting that a serial pantyhose flasher was spotted at Partridge Creek on Monday night. The man, who also has been spotted wearing only a shirt and sheer pantyhose in several other communities in southeastern Michigan, appeared at Forever 21 in Partridge Creek at 8:40 p.m. on March 19, according to Capt. Richard Maierle. A woman and her boyfriend recognized the serial flasher from media coverage, and he immediately left when spotted. The woman and boyfriend said the alleged flasher left in a 2008 silver Grand Cherokee. The serial pantyhose flasher also was spotted at:

Police Blotter: Beatles Argument Ends in Stabbing, Drunken Driver Hits Garage

Beatles argument ends in stabbing On Feb. 21, at approximately 7:41 p.m., Macomb County Sheriff's deputies received a report of 21-year-old Macomb Township male being treated for multiple stab wounds at the St. John Medical Center on 23 Mile Road. The suspect, a 17-year-old Macomb Township resident, told police he stabbed the victim with a Swiss Army-style knife following an argument about the Beatles. He admitted to then fleeing the scene, washing the blood from the knife and hiding it, according to the police report. There were no witnesses to the crime, according to the police report. The 17-year-old was arrested at his home and charged with aggravated felonious assault. He was then transported to the Macomb County Jail where he was …

Court Orders Psychological Evaluation for Alleged Arsonist

The arson and domestic violence case against Macomb Township resident, Dujuan Edward Smith, 35, will continue pending the results of court-ordered evaluations.

The arson case against a 35-year-old Macomb Township man will take a brief hiatus pending the results of court-ordered psychological evaluations. Dujuan Edward Smith, 35, is facing counts of arson and domestic violence stemming from allegations that on Feb. 1, at approximately 7:30 p.m., he set fire to the home at 45300 Card Road in Macomb Township. 41A District Court Judge Douglas P. Shepherd referred the case for competency and culpability on Tuesday. The case will stall pending the result of these psychological evaluations, which will examine Smith's mental state at the time of the alleged crime and determine whether he is fit to stand trial. Investigation Continues into 'Suspicious' Card Road House Fire

A Macomb County Sheriff's Fire Investigation Unit was at the scene of the house fire Thursday morning.

With the scent of charred wood still heavy in the air Thursday, the Macomb County Sheriff's Fire Investigation Unit began inspecting the cause of a blaze that gutted a home on Card Road Wednesday night. The fire is believed to have started shortly after 7:30 p.m., and though multiple Macomb Township engines responded to the scene, it took fire crews more than two hours to douse the fire. Crews were still pouring water into the roof of the home at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said the home, located north of Hall Road and east of Card, was vacant at the time of the fire.
