Really cool house. Some years back I wanted to buy that house but found another before having the chance to schedule a viewing. Macomb Township Looks to Lease Spare Acres for Crop Production

The land is located south of 24 Mile, east of Card. Bids must be received by the township clerk by 10 a.m. Jan. 8, 2013.

Farmers interested in cultivating land should consider an offer to rent 35.88 acres in Macomb Township.  The field cropland is located south of 24 Mile, east of Card Road. Access to the main road is through a nearby condominium complex.  Macomb Clerk Michael Koehs said the township is accepting bids on the land, which is not in use at this time. The contract agreement, found on the township’s website, is for Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2013.  The bid package containing the lease must be received by the township clerk by 10 a.m. on Jan. 8, 2013. The bid opening is scheduled for Jan. 8 at 11 a.m. in the board room located at the township offices at 54111 Broughton Road.  Renting farmland is not uncommon. Increased Home Building Hints at Recovery in Macomb Township Housing Market

The number of building permits issued in Macomb Township and the state of Michigan has increased over the past year.

Michigan’s residential building is nowhere near where it was at its 2004 peak, but in Macomb Township and across the state, the signs of recovery are unmistakable. Home building is picking up in Michigan, with nearly 7,800 permits issued as of September 2012 – a 32 percent increase over last year, according to the Home Builders Association of Michigan. In Macomb Township, the number of residential building permits issued increased from six in January to 25 just one month later, in February 2012. Home Sales in Macomb County Continue to Rise at Slow, Steady Pace

The average price of homes in Macomb County rose 20 percent in the past year, according to RealComp.

The average price of a home for sale in Macomb County shot up by more than 20 percent in the past year, yet another sign the local housing market is rebounding after a slump that has lasted more than five years. Figures released by Farmington Hills-based multiple listing service RealComp II Ltd. show the average price of a home in Macomb County last month was $80,000 compared to $60,000 in November 2011. The needle moved only slightly in the average price of a foreclosed home in Macomb this past year, going from $46,100 in November 2011 to $50,555 in November 2012.
