The Christmas Countdown is now complete. All that is left is double and triple checking our to-do lists and waiting for the jolly old elf to finish his rounds.

And now, the complete 12 Days of Christmas – Patch style. On the 12th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, news that Santa's coming, a checklist for safekeeping, silver to be shining, chances for romancing, stockings for stuffing, greens for the trimming, cookies a-baking ... five golden rules ... "You're Invited!" cards, gifts for my friends, ways to spread the love and a little time reserved just for me. With the gifts wrapped, silver polished, seasonal charity donation made and house decorated, all that is left to do is wait for the man of hour – Santa Claus. 'Tis the season for photos with Santa Claus. Here's a list of places the jolly old elf will be found around Macomb Township.  Ray Wiegand's Nursery Santa and Elvin visit Wiegand's Nursery, 47747 Romeo Plank Road, Dec. 2, 9, 16 and 23 from noon to 4 p.m. Photos will be available for $5 or you are welcome to take your own. Kids can do a craft for an additional $5. Donner and Blitzen will visit with Elvin on Dec. 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Clinton-Macomb Public Library - North Branch Dec. 15 at 10:30 a.m. Santa will be visiting the North Branch to read stories and take pictures. Santa Claus at The Somerset Collection: 2012 Schedule

The jolly old elf will arrive this Friday. Here are the days and hours he'll be available this season.

Ho, ho, ho! Santa Claus is coming to town – or, more specifically, to The Somerset Collection in Troy. Here's what you need to know about Santa's arrival and extended visit to the upscale mall this season. Santa will arrive in Troy at 6:30 p.m. this Friday, Nov. 16 in front of Somerset Collection North between J Alexander’s and Capital Grille. There will be stilt walkers, jugglers, a caroling quartet and townspeople handing out roasted almonds to guests.  At 7 p.m., the Dearborn Marching Band will begin marching and playing a holiday tune from Nordstrom’s to the center doors. They will play as Santa arrives in a horse-drawn carriage with Princess Celeste.  Once inside, the Dearborn Jazz Band will play while Santa visits with all his guests…

PHOTOS: Santa Brings Spirit of the Season to Township Tree Lighting

Hundreds turn out for township tree lighting and after glow party Nov. 30.

The Dakota High School show choir provided the soundtrack and the Macomb Township Fire Department and Macomb County Sheriff's Office ensured Santa Claus and Christmas Carol made it to the town center on time and in style for the annual tree lighting. Roaring up to the front steps of the town hall in the township's newest fire engine, Santa Claus met with local officials and received the key to Macomb Township from Supervisor Mark Grabow. The jolly old elf then turned his attention to the tree. With the help of Atwood Elementary students Ashton and Charles Hackler, the three flipped the candy-cane switch and set the tree aglow. Cookies, cocoa and visits with Santa followed at the after glow party inside the recreation center.
