Taco Bell at Corner of Hall and Romeo Plank Opens for Fourth Meal Business

The new location opened on Monday, Dec. 2, and will serve customers from 10 a.m to 4 a.m. seven days a week.

If you find yourself craving that "fourth meal," you can now add the northeast corner of Romeo Plank and Hall Road to your list of Taco Bell locations. Macomb Township's newest fast food restaurant opened its doors Monday, Dec. 3. The township approved construction of the franchise in fall 2011, but Taco Bell didn't break ground on the new location until August of this year. The lot on which Taco Bell now sits formerly housed a BP gas station, which had been vacant for more than a year when Taco Bell announced its plans for the property. The restaurant is open 10 a.m. to midnight seven days a week, with the drive-thru open from 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. seven days as well. Taco Bell Offering Free Tacos to Macomb Township After Base Stolen in World Series

Taco Bell will give away its Doritos Locos Tacos Oct. 30 after Angel Pagan stole second base in Thursday's World Series game. The Bell has multiple locations around Macomb Township.

Taco Bell will give away free Doritos Locos Tacos on Tuesday, Oct. 30, thanks to San Francisco Giants outfielder Angel Pagan stealing second base in the bottom of the 8th inning. The Giants won Game 2 of the World Series, 2-0 against the Detroit Tigers. It's the sixth time Taco Bell has offered free tacos for stolen bases in a promotion dubbed "Steal a Base, Steal a Taco." Here's how it works: if a player steals a base any time in the first four games of the World Series, Taco Bell will give out free Doritos Locos Tacos between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30. New Taco Bell Breaks Ground at Corner of Hall and Romeo Plank

Construction crews are hard at work leveling the former BP gas station at the northeast corner of Hall Road and Romeo Plank to make way for a new Taco Bell.

The former BP gas station at the northeast corner of Hall and Romeo Plank roads was razed this week to make way for a new Taco Bell. The lot has sat vacant for more than a year, but will soon hold the township's second Taco Bell franchise. When Macomb Patch asked readers in November 2011 what they thought of the Mexican fast-food restaurant's move, 75 percent of respondents said they were pleased to see this franchise take up residence in the township.  An opening date for the new venue has not been announced.

Macomb Thinks 'Outside the Bun,' Welcomes Second Taco Bell

Taco Bell has received township approval to build a new restaurant on Hall Road.

Drive westbound on Hall Road and you'll pass dozens of traditional and fast food eateries, the newest of which promises to be Taco Bell. The Mexican fast-food restaurant has petitioned for and received a special land use permit to set up shop on the northeast corner of Hall and Romeo Plank roads in Macomb Township. Formerly the home of a BP gas station, the lot has sat vacant for almost a year.  Macomb Township Clerk Michael Koehs said Taco Bell has been approved to build a new facility but, given the fast approach of winter and significant amount of groundwork needed before building can begin, he doesn't expect construction on the new venue to start until spring 2012. This new eatery would be the chain's second location in Macomb.
