The Sizzlin' Summer Concert series may have ended for the year, but the memories live on.
The Macomb Township Parks and Recreation Department capped off its Sizzlin' Summer Night series of 2011 with the tropical theme suggested by the songs of Jimmy Buffett Aug. 4. Held in Town Center Park, Air Margaritaville provided the tunes while the Parks and Recreation Department and local sponsors manned the inflatables, bubbles and games in the KiDzOnE.

ROCK-CLIMBING FUN Where/When: Stony Creek Metropark, daily. Why Go: Get a grip and take this fun challenge at Stony Creek, with the rock climbing wall set up through Aug. 11. Pricing: $2 per climb. A daily car pass to the park is $5, if you don't already have an annual pass ($25 or $15 for seniors). SUMMER NIGHTS IN THE PARK Where/When: Town Center Park 7-8:30 p.m. Aug. 4. Why Go: It's the final "Sizzlin' Summer Nights" for the season, rescheduled from last week. Bring blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy live music outdoors. Tonight's act is Jimmy Buffett tribute act Air Margaritaville. There will also be a dance floor set up so anyone inclined can cut a rug. Kids can enjoy fun in the KiDzOnE inflatables, games and more. Hundreds turned out for Rosco's Carnival Tuesday, July 19, despite record temperatures. Part of Rosco's Picnic Pallooza Series, attendees took in balloon animals, inflatables, a giant water hose and a whole lot of heat at Town Center Park.
